Who are we?

Our mission at Lord of Glory is to faithfully answer God's call to grow each person through worship, study, service and fellowship.

We belong to the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), a confessional Lutheran denomination that follows in the tradition of Martin Luther.

What do we believe?

  • The Triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) is the only true God, apart from whom there is no salvation.
  • That the Bible is the true, unchanging Word of God and therefore the only source of authority for our lives.
  • All mankind is born with original sin, which then leads to sins that we commit daily. All those sins ultimately lead to physical death. Therefore, we need salvation from sin, death, and the devil.
  • Jesus Christ, both true God and true man, is our personal Lord and Savior, who shed His blood for us on the cross to atone or pay for our sins.
  • Baptism works forgiveness of sins, rescues from sin, death and the devil, and gives eternal salvation and faith to all who believe this, as the words and promises of God declare. So we begin baptizing in infancy.
  • By faith in Jesus Christ, we are completely forgiven of all sins and assured of eternal life in heaven when we die.
  • The true body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ is truly present in, with, and under the bread and wine offered in Holy Communion.
  • In Holy Communion we receive the forgiveness of sins and strength for a new and holy life and that we are knit together as one family of Christ.
  • That Christ will come again on the last day, and the dead will bodily rise from the grave and and live forever in heaven or hell.
  • That we are called to live a godly life, to serve God and love others, and to share the life-giving message of Jesus with all people everywhere.
